Why are there so many takeover kinda meetups and so little actual car culture focused ones where people actually socialise and enthuse about cars?
Car Club Suggestions
Boston car club?
As a young car enthusiast, where do i even start?
Find car clubs, any of them. Different car cultures out there, so mingling in a few of them might help find your niche, be it a type of driving (off reading, cruising, drag strip...), a specific make (Chevrolet), a specific model (Camaro, Mustang, WRX), etc.
Don't be pressured to get the "cool" car as a ticket into a particular club or culture. There are plenty of people that love their so-called boring cars with all their heart. There's nothing wrong with slow or average or plain, as long as you love your car and all things associated.
Do you have a car? A good starting point may be clubs or groups dedicated to the make or model.
More on reddit.comI hate the current car scene where these self proclaimed chav/roadman kids (mind you from a lovely family, from surrey, visiting their nans every Tuesday, but acting like they are real Bronx ghetto gangsters) are getting together in their fiestas, corsas and all kinda loud but poverty spec beamers and get extremely anti social.
I just don’t get it.
There used to be many more cultural car meetup events, that was actually about cars and not whatever this is. It used to be about socialising and not anti-socialising.
Car clubs have gone to utter shit too.
Anyone can recommend some proper anything goes car clubs to check out, preferably with grown up, adult members?
I hate this kindergarten car scene
I'm looking to start a car club(I wanna be ambitious and say it's going to be the best in New York)
I plan to call it "The Arbiters" and I want to try and make it a super helpful car community as well.
Is there anything I should avoid? Anything I should do or work towards? I already have a large group of friends(with and without cars) that want me to start this up!
