Does my CareCredit credit card expire?
No, like any other credit card, as long as you are in good standing and you have available credit, you can use your CareCredit healthcare credit card anywhere the card is accepted. It is important to use your card at least once a year, however, in order to keep your account active.
Last year my dog had to have two ACL surgeries back to back, a total of about $9000. I opened a CareCredit account to pay for the cost. The 0% interest time period is just about over, and I know the interest will be put on the card retroactively.
Are there any rules or restrictions from transferring a balance from this kind of card (CareCredit, retroactive interest after time period) to a regular 0% interest balance transfer card?
I have about $2.5k remaining on the CareCredit and it needs paid by May.
Hey Everyone, I just wanted to share this for those who are unaware. When you sign up for a CareCredit card they will automatically preselect for you to enroll into their card security program. Now if you were like me and did not pay attention to that but kept seeing this charge appear on your transactions list “PYMT CARD SECURITY” then you were also pre-enrolled in that program. I simply called the 800-851-4051 number that followed the transaction name and they were able to credit all of my charges related to that transaction and unenroll from the program. The representative mentioned that “it was a one-time courtesy and you cannot enroll in the program from there on out” so be cautious of that.
Before you say it yes, I’ve contacted customer service already, and they give me scripted responses that aren’t even relevant to my question. They won’t tell me why my minimum monthly payments are $0.00.
My card was compromised late last year, and ever since reporting it then, I haven’t had to make a minimum payment. It’s been several months since the fraud on my card though, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
What should I be doing?
