Hi everyone,
I’m traveling with British Airways on a Standard Economy ticket. My booking clearly shows that I’m allowed 2 checked bags, 23kg each.
However, I can’t seem to find clear information about the cabin baggage allowance. There’s no mention of how much weight is allowed for the cabin bag in my booking details.
Does anyone know what the current cabin baggage policy is for BA Standard Economy?

based on the listed dimensions it looks like just about any normal 22" roller/spinner bag will work for the overhead. apparently they have very generous allowances for weight for both the overhead carry-on and the personal item. if you don't already own a suitcase I recommend going to a store like Marshalls and picking one out, they have a great selection of reputable brands. not a ton of differences besides weight and organization, and I guess durability but a single trip isn't going to test it too much. lots of little pockets = less space for your actual stuff. all of this is assuming you're looking for a roller bag. if you plan to trudge through snow, you may prefer a 40L backpack. that's where your packing list becomes much more important (and where this subreddit can actually be helpful).

You may not want to haul the maximum sized bag with as many clothes as possible jammed in. Your bag will "own" you as much as you own it. Managing your bags on mass transit, city sidewalks and walk up lodgings are things to consider. Know the TSA rules for liquids, etc.. Many here prefer a backpack over a roller suitcase. That is one of the larger overhead bags allowed. With future trips in mind or connecting flights, I would look for bags that are.22" x14" x9" or less. Imagine trying to get a 51 pound bag in and out of the overhead! It's actually difficult to get that much weight in a bag that size. Don't even try! So, things to consider when asking about a bag: what will you put in it? Laptop, cameras, extra shoes, etc. how formal is your style? volume/dimensions/weight backpack or suitcase? budget? your location for purchase?

My sister is travelling tomorrow (London to Florence), and booked via a third party, lastminute, but now she's getting conflicting info.
The lastminute flight info says she can only bring a laptop bag, and no cabin bag. The British airways website says every flight includes a laptop bag and a cabin bag- but she can't find anything specific on her flight info, even during/ after check in, to confirm this.
Any idea if it's included or not? She'll need to buy one if not, which she'd like to buy in advance.

All BA flights include cabin bags. BA doesn't even have a way to charge for more cabin baggage. She may be asked to check in her bag, because there wouldn't otherwise be enough space in the overhead lockers, however, so she should make sure that all valuables and essentials are in her smaller bag.
