The iPhone accessories market has gone nuts in the last few years. It’s becoming normalised for a completely unremarkable case to cost as much as a budget android phone which is just insane. People fall for the marketing lines like “military grade” and “the same material used in riot shields” when they are buying at most a couple of dollars worth of plastic/rubber/silicon pressed over an iPhone mould. I have an iPhone 12 and have been buying soft silicone cases for years that I like (pictured), but they now get greasy after a few month.
I don't wanna keep buying new ones from AliExpress to replace every few months.
So what are good brands or types? Is Casetify actually good or overrated/overadvertised?

Casetify is currently under investigation for IP theft and copyright infringement (and in my opinion, the copying is pretty blatant). As well they seem overpriced for what they are. I've heard mixed things about their competitor, dbrand's cases; that they're fine but also a little overpriced. I personally love Spigen cases ; they're minimally thick and priced really well but still protect excellently and hold up to scratching and drops well! Poetic is a good step up if you don't mind your phone getting chunky but also wouldn't mind some extra features (like a kick stand), and Otterbox remains the industry standard for chunktastic cases that make your phone practically invincible.

OtterBox has served me well, and they have more unobtrusive models out now. IMO any gimmicky-type case is likely to peel/crack/not actually protect your device.

Most protective and attractive phone cases for iPhones that won’t fall apart after a few months or break my phone. Casetify is no good—-got the most protective case from them (9.8 foot drop tested etc) and after a less than three foot fall my phones glass back shattered. Multiple screens have cracked too, just in a few months. I don’t care what everyone says but Casetify ISNT protective😭
