Casio CDP-S110 vs Casio CDP-S100 – A Worthy Upgrade?
March 7, 2025 - So, even without the Casio Chordana Play app, you shouldn’t have too much trouble navigating. The S110 comes with every single feature mentioned and nothing more. In fact, the only feature the S110 has over the S100 isn’t really a ...

r/piano on Reddit: Casio CDP S110 vs CDP S100
August 23, 2020 -

Hi there

I am looking into getting my first keyboard, and after researching for several days I am set on the Casio CDP S100. I've found I can order one online, but then I stumbled upon the CDP S110. it costs about $80 more, but when I look at the specs, I cannot find anything different between the two.
Can some one point me out to what the differences are between the two? and if it's worth going for the newer one?

Thanks

May 15, 2025 - Casio’s Dynamic Stereo Sound Engine powers each of these presets, and it is the same engine that powered the prior CDP-S100 model, as well as the more advanced CDP-S360. It is worth reiterating here that the CDP-S160 and the CDP-S110 are identical in terms of their sound sets, so you won’t be missing out if you’re in a region where the other model is unavailable.

r/piano on Reddit: Casio CDP-S100 Worth It?
May 1, 2023 -

I recently came across a Casio CDP-S100 on sale and I am in desperate need for an upgrade because my keyboard right now is not weighted, has 66 keys, and has no pedal. I have done some research on the keyboard and it seems like it is a good enough for a beginner, but I also want to make sure it has some longevity at least until I need a new one 4-5 years from now.

Any advice about this purchase? Do any of you have the Casio CDP-S100? What do you recommend?

I'm just a beginner but I started on the S110, which is almost the same as the S100 (same action, some updated features). I'd say it's all right, but I've also upgraded recently and am quite glad I did. Anyway, again I'm just a novice myself so take my comment with a grain of salt, but re: the CDP-S110 (or S100), I think: The sound was mediocre (including on quality headphones) and I ended up playing it exclusively with VSTs. The action is serviceable; I actually prefer it over the entry-level Yamaha GHS, which I also get to play on regularly (on an Arius), but that's just my opinion. Of course, it's noticeably worse than the high-end slab actions from both Casio (e.g. PX-S6000) and Yamaha (e.g. P-515), which I also get to play regularly, but for the price, I think it's quite decent. I don't have much experience playing on Roland or Kawai digitals, so I can't say. In terms of other features, I think the consensus is that for piano playing, they don't matter that much, but I'll point out there is no recording feature on the S110 (and I assume the S100), and depending on how you practise, you might miss it (I like to record and listen to myself immediately afterwards). So, all in all, it's an all right board for its price, but I wouldn't personally want to keep it for 4-5 years if I could help it; though the same could be said, for me, of something like the Yamaha P-45. I've heard several people say they liked their entry-level Kawai (e.g. ES120) and Roland very much (e.g. FP-10) and they wouldn't mind staying with them for years... I don't have a lot of first-hand experience with those brands, so maybe they offer better long-term value, I don't know. Hope that helps!

r/piano on Reddit: Is the Casio CDP-S110 a bad piano?
January 10, 2024 -

Feeling a bit of buyers remorse choosing this keyboard as my second digital piano, after my first keyboard broke.

Don't get me wrong, I love this thing, I've had it for about 6 months. But after reading reviews on here of people saying that it sounds bad, it feels bad, its just bad in general, I'm having regrets of not choosing a "better" option.

Is this keyboard really that bad for someone who's been playing for a few years at an intermediate level?

Whether we compare the Casio CDP S100 vs Yamaha P125 or vs Kawai ES 110 or vs Roland FP 30 the comparison does not make sense because there is a price difference of around 100 euros.

Casio CDP S100 Review - In Depth Look From A Pro
March 28, 2024 - My overall opinion on the Casio CDP S100 is that is a nice choice for beginners. It’s not loaded with a lot of sounds, but it is more of a digital piano than a keyboard. Weighted keys and the portability it has to offer are it’s selling points. I have also been very open about Casio’s sounds getting better with every release and I believe the sounds are pretty good here as well for the money.

r/redditenfrancais on Reddit: [Piano] CASIO CDP S110 vs CDP S100
January 8, 2022 -

Salut

Merci
