How do I clean my Casper Mattress? Can I remove the cover?
Do not remove the mattress cover to clean it or the mattress or for any other reason. If you need to clean your Casper mattress or cover, we suggest spot-cleaning affected areas with water and mild detergent. Be careful not to saturate the mattress with too much water and/or detergent, as the foam in the mattress core will soak up water and detergent. Allow the treated area to air dry completely before putting your sheets and bedding back on.
For an easier method of keeping your mattress clean, we recommend the use of a stain and water-resistant mattress protector, which may be removed and cleaned as needed.

A mattress in a box is a mattress that’s compressed in an air-sealed bag and rolled tight so that it can fit into a box that’s easier to maneuver than a traditional mattress. Allowing you the flexibility and convenience of picking your mattress online and having it easily delivered to your door.

Hi all—I am looking for a new pillow! I currently have a down one from Brooklinen but it is not supportive at all for me. I've had pretty bad cervical neck pain. I did an MRI and found out I have mild arthritis in my neck. I know a pillow won't solve my pain but hopefully it can at least help!? I've settled on these two pillows and was wondering what you all thought?

When my husband and I closed on our house at the end of 2019 we decided we would get a new mattress and the old one would go in the guest room. I was pregnant and in my first trimester at the time (nausea, fatigue, irritable) and couldn’t be bothered to research a mattress so my husband did. He found the Casper and said it had great reviews and it was on sale when we got it. We didn’t move in until 2 months after we had the mattress so we only had 30 days to test it. Well Covid hit and our bed frame delivery was delayed so we slept on it on the floor of our new bedroom. At this point I’m about 28 weeks pregnant and thinking the reason I’m uncomfortable is because of the baby or because it’s on the floor and not on a frame.
I WAS WRONG.
This mattress has caused me back pain in ways you cannot imagine. I’m currently sleeping on our old IKEA mattress in the guest room because of how uncomfortable it is. And when I lay on that IKEA mattress that is practically hanging off the frame because of how lopsided it’s become- I feel like I’ve landed on a cloud from sleep heaven. (Also, at least ikea has a lifetime warranty on their mattress). You would also think a new mom would be so exhausted that she could sink into any mattress and just fall asleep but NOPE. I toss and turn for an hour before finally giving up and moving into the other room.
I regret ever agreeing to the purchase of this mattress. It is an overpriced piece of foam and it has solidified my opinion on boxed mattresses. I refuse to believe that any box mattress is comfortable. If a tired first time mom who’s baby wakes up 3-4 times a night -and has for the last 9 months- can’t find comfort in it then I KNOW it’s not a good mattress.
Sorry for the rant. If you’re thinking of a mattress, skip Casper and go with ANYTHING else.
As a 65 Kg (144 lbs) stomach sleeper who occasionally switches to side and back sleeping, I decided to try the Casper Original mattress. Here's a detailed account of my experience:
Ordering & delivery: I placed my order on Casper.com (Mar 18) and was pleasantly surprised by the quick delivery, receiving the mattress just a few days later (Mar 21).Unboxing & setup: The box was quite heavy, making it difficult to handle alone, but I managed to unpack and set up the mattress without assistance.
First impressions: Upon inspection, the mattress showed an unusual firmness in the middle third and softness at the head and feet thirds. Although that difference in firmness felt odd to the touch (like there is a concrete block somewhere under the middle third), it proved to be comfortable to lie on.
First night: My first night on the Casper Original was a welcome change from my old, worn-out IKEA spring mattress, resulting in a restful and enjoyable sleep.
First week: Throughout the first week, I would say my sleep quality was consistently good, and I was quite satisfied with my purchase.
Second week & emerging issues: However, in the second week, I started to notice the mattress slept hot, and it softened significantly overnight as my body heat transferred to the mattress (most likely the memory foam softening as it was heating because I noticed it was nice and firm in the evening when the bed was still cool). The most affected area was the middle third, which lost support as the night progressed.
Worsening issues: As weeks went by, the mattress continued to soften at night and I began experiencing lower back pain. This was likely due to inadequate support in the hips area for my stomach-sleeping position.
Decision to return mattress: Early this month, after another poor night's sleep and lower back pain, I concluded that the Casper Original mattress wasn't suitable for my needs, and I decided to look for another option. I did my homework prior to purchasing the Casper mattress so I had a second option, although a pricier one (I chose a Novosbed firm mattress, which so far has provided the firm support and pressure relief I was seeking).
Returning the Casper mattress: I called Casper support today to schedule the return. The customer service team was helpful and made the process hassle-free, barely asking why I wanted to return the mattress (I hope they'll later ask for my feedback). The return is set for tomorrow via Got-Junk, and my refund will be processed once Casper receives proof of pickup.
In conclusion, while the Casper Original mattress initially offered comfort and quality sleep, it ultimately failed to deliver consistent support overnight, especially for a stomach sleeper like me. If you're considering this mattress, be aware of potential heat and support issues especially if you're a stomach sleeper, and make sure to take advantage of the return policy if it doesn't meet your expectations.

…is it too late to return it? I purchased in October 2023 and have tried to force myself to like it. Here we are nearly 8 months later and it’s been miserable. The Casper mattress is a raging inferno that I can bear no longer.

I've had horrible experiences don't get me wrong, but this hands down is the worst and recommend going with ANYONE other than Capser
Sent me shipping details
2 weeks no movement
Checked with their customer service team (25 min wait)
Was lied to that it's stuck in the warehouse awaiting pickup
Call UPS get told no, there is nothing for them to pick up
Call Capser again and finally someone was honest and told me it's in back order
Get sent the package 3 weeks late
Now, UPS refuses to deliver and are requesting me to pick up???
What circle of mattress hell is this???
Recently returned a Casper Hybrid bed and am so happy with my choice to do so! I found the Casper to be far too soft and led me to bad back pain. I also found it never quite took shape after taking it out of the box (had it for 1 month).
I cannot recommend this mattress, as even the “hybrid” model is comparable to the foam beds that WalMart sells for 1/4 the price. If you’re looking at Casper, I’d HIGHLY recommend picking up a cheap foam mattress instead (note: this isn’t what I did, I ended up switching back to a coil mattress.).
TLDR: hated Casper, and probably could have got the same bed for much cheaper elsewhere

For people who wrote today, without leaking the exact scenarios, how did you think of the test today? It was honestly not like what I wrote last year, and I felt like half the test was the most stereotypical and common ethical dilemmas and the other half was quite literally panel interview questions LOL. Now I’m scared my answers are too mid because the scenarios are so common :p
