Among the available selection I'd go with Celebration mk2 for the sole reason that it and the S.D.M.G. are both Moon Lord drops, but rockets cannot be reflected by enemies, therefore the Celebration is more reliable and best in my opinion. If we include Calamity I choose pearlwood bow for early hardmode.

Let's face facts, the Celebration is a let-down. Manual-fired, slow-firing, inaccurate, low damage. It also hurts my eyes, but maybe that's just me. 100% of the time, I'd rather use my Snowman Cannon so I can just fire salvos with no need to regard aim at all. Couple this with the fact that the S.D.M.G. is simply a very high damage Megashark reskin, and the Phantasm being nerfed to a fragment of what it once was, and the need for a cool, high damage ranged weapon becomes clear. So what do you think, r/terraria? What do you think should be ranger's saving grace?
