Installing AMD CodeAnlyst - CentOS
The dependency faailure is libbfd-2.17.50.0.6-20.el5.so()(64bit) is needed by CodeAnalyst-3_4_18-Public.x86_64 When I Google that, I get response for that name plus binutils* which replaces the first art of the name: .libbfd. I then try to install binutis and I get a failed depdendency, but this time it is about a conflict with an earlier version of binutils.

libbfd and libiberty · Homebrew · Discussion #2710
Old question, but I submitted a PR for this: Homebrew/homebrew-core#168531, since my package also depends on libbfd. For now, I've added it manually and rebuild binutils for homebrew with --enable-install-libiberty as per https://stackoverflow.com/a/65978315 and the instructions here: https://docs.brew.sh/FAQ#can-i-edit-formulae-myself.

How to include "libbfd" support in cross-gcc setup?
Post by Brian Dessent You can just get this as a side effect of building your standard cross-binutils instead of an extra step by adding --enable-install-libbfd to the toplevel configure. Won't that install the wrong type of binary? (See my original post.) You're right, that will give you a ...

November 9, 2017 - So, I removed binutils-2.20.51.0.2-5.47 and install binutils-2.20.51.0.2-5.44, it works well. ... Thanks. Chan. ... The BFD libraries are only intended for internal use by binutils and related tools. There is no ABI stability even within the same release of CentOS (or Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
