Champagne (bronze) toast to getting rid of the 90s builder grade
Satin Brass or Champagne Bronze faucet and cabinet hardware?
Almost finished with the kitchen remodel. I was very nervous to go with green cabinets and champagne bronze (delta) hardware, since I love a white kitchen. Before and after. Thank you!
Champagne bronze kitchen drain?
We are pretty happy with most of how it turned out. I don’t care if you think champagne bronze is trendy and will go out of style…
-Removed soffits (and had to reroute plumbing, gas and electrical that were unfortunately in the soffit) -Added electric run for induction and wall oven
-Custom cabinets, SALT Chrysler cabinet panels -soft close cabs/drawers. Storage on back side of island. Rev a shelf corner cupboard pull out, trash bins and utensil holder. I prefer this over a spice rack pull out.
-Large format floor tile (required a bunch of self leveler). Considered wood but just not great choice for this climate -Cortona Gold quartz -AZ Tile (we love the quartz with the ~gold vein) -Delta champagne bronze fixtures -Kichler chandelier - champagne bronze (went with a slightly different approach to over island lighting but we love this fixture) -Sink is Kohler Iron/Tones smart divide enameled cast iron. We like the shorter divide to fit larger dishes but still have a divided sink for various uses. -Delta clarifi reverse osmosis -Bosch benchmark induction cooktop -wall microwave/oven combo -Converted pantry into beverage center -Converted hall linen closet/bedroom closet into walk in pantry (can be seen in picture of beverage center) -Subzero beverage fridge with custom panel door. I know this is crazy having an under cabinet fridge that cost more than the full size fridge. I looked at tons of options and ultimately decided on reliability, quiet, and the well designed hinge.
You will probably say “why not bring the cabinets to the ceiling”. These cabinets are already super tall and the ceiling is vaulted. That also left a challenging choice with the vent hood that I’m still not 100% happy with.
If I was willing to spend more, I would have swapped the sink and range and put a window over the sink. We already spent too much though.
Satin Brass on the left, champagne bronze on the right.
We like how the satin brass pulls warmer tones from the counter, but not sure if it’s too eye-catching (we want the counters to be the focal point). We like how the champagne bronze is very subtle and blends in well, but worry it’s pulling too cool.
Note: the satin brass cabinet pulls aren’t necessarily the style we will use, just the color!
