Champagne wedding dress with an ivory veil?
FMIL sent me a photo of a dress to wear for the wedding. It’s a short sleeve white lace top with a light champagne bottom. How do I respond to her? The white lace is similar to my wedding dress, and the light champagne may photograph white. How do I respond to her without being “that girl?”
Champagne dress with a white veil
I had a champagne dress with a white veil, it looked fine! Even in the pictures the color difference was so slight, it didn't show up.
More on reddit.comHow did you decide on ivory on ivory or ivory on champagne/moscato/etc.?
I had this problem as every single bridal shop that had my dress only had it in ivory on moscato. Tbh I went with my gut and chose ivory on ivory sight unseen. I had a couple of shops trying to put a white fabric underneath the top sheer layer to give me an idea and tbh it looked horrible lol, but I tried to not let it get in the way. I knew I wanted a more traditional look of all white, even though my dress is kinda trendy (illusion top, almost see through bodice, heavy lace appliqués/beading, etc.). I loved the way the lace detailing popped on top of the moscato, but deep down I knew it wasn’t me and I would look back and regret it even though I loved it as is. After I paid and left the bridal shop I agonized over it for weeks thinking I made a mistake and that the lace details wouldn’t show and it was all a waste. We’ll fast forward six months, I picked up my dress a few weeks ago in ivory on ivory and I’m SO SO happy!! It felt more like me, felt more glam and elegant (rather than romantic, I feel like the moscato colors give a more romantic/casual wedding vibe).
