Fan Control - A highly focused fan software for Windows
Want to add more sensors and controls from a third party? No problem! Fan Control has a simple plugin system with .NET that allow any third party developer to add temperature, speed or control sensors. Installing is as easy as dropping a dll in the plugin folder, that's it.

Can anyone please help me to set my fan speed settings correctly ?
This should get the four case fans to slow down to what they need to do, rather than full speed all the time. Next, just to be sure about the CPU cooler settings, go to the CPU1 and PUMP1 headers. For each, ensure the Mode is set to PWM, not DC or AUTO and that their Temperature Source is CPU. When all these are set, use the F10 key to reach an Exit Menu (p.24). There choose Save Changes ... How to configure it so that I can ... of the fan at my will? ... I know this is an old thread, but if the OP has not found a solution yet, then try this: On the Speedfan main screen, go in Configure->Advanced Then select chip. That is the chip number of your sensor chip.(You can find that in some temperature monitor(ITE IT87 in this case): there is some setting like pwm1, pwm2 etc. set to on/off or some other, change that to ... Fan speed control - ArchWiki
3 weeks ago - This example starts the fan at low speed when the CPU temperature reaches 55 °C, switching to high speed at 75 °C. The fan will switch back to low speed once the temperature drops to 65 °C, and turns off completely at 45 °C. Tip If when running i8kmon with the verbose option you notice that the state changes (example of an output: # (57>=55), state=1, low=45, high=75) but right and left fans report state 0, you might consider changing the speed value of the first state in the configuration file from default 1000 to 2000 or higher.

This fan curve is set in a completely different way: As changes in fan speed can be perceived as more noticeable or distracting than a constant fan speed, this fan curve tries to avoid changes in fan speed as much as possible. However, the rapid increase in fan speed at 60 °C and 75°C will ...

February 20, 2023 - Go into Fan Xpert through AI Suite 3 and check just how it is set up, and change anything THERE you do not like. See if that changes the system behaviour. If neither of those changes anything, then I have to suspect some other software is doing this. It is NOT running when you are in BIOS Setup so when you are THERE you CAN change fan speeds.

How To Control Fan Speed on Windows Computers
December 20, 2024 - Optionally, check the "remember it" box to save changes. Identify which PWM controls the fan for each component by adjusting their values to 0 individually and noting the temperature rise. Set them back to their previous values afterward. Tick "Automatic fan speed" and then click the “Configure” button for more complex fan control.

Fan Control for Windows
Using fan control profiles (presets you can switch between using the GUI or hotkeys) and options like hysteresis, temperature averaging over time or rate limits to keep the fan speeds as steady as possible. Argus Monitor offers the full range of fan control possibilities, from simply changing fan speeds manually (setting fan speeds to 100% to quickly achieve maximum cooling) to having an elaborate fan control by controlling fans individually with multiple controllers for every fan using control curves and user defined synthetic temperatures (a combination of temperatures using mathematical operations like mean, maximum, time average, limits etc.)
