November 4, 2025 - BOSTON (WHDH) - 7NEWS anchor Kim Khazei will be signing off in December after 25 years, it was announced on November 4th by WHDH-TV/WLVI-TV Vice President & General Manager, Jimmy Rogers, in a statement to the company.

The shakeups at Los Angeles local news stations continue apace, as weekend anchor and general assignment reporter Veronica Miracle announced that she’s leaving ABC7 – without indicating where she’s going next.

February 11, 2025 - News anchor Ellen Leyva is leaving KABC-TV Channel 7 after nearly 30 years, marking another shift in the local news scene.

Summer Smith is an anchor at ABC7 who co-anchors the 12 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. newscasts. Rick Adams is an anchor at ABC7 who co-anchors the 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m.

November 5, 2025 - Miele praised Khazei as an "accomplished journalist" and wished her well during the next chapter of her life. ... Khazei will leave her position at WHDH in December, according to the television news station.

2 weeks ago - Khazei came to Channel 7 in Boston, Massachusetts in January 1994 at the time when Sunbeam Television Corporation took over the station and introduced a "fast-paced, graphics-driven, and aggressive brand of local news" to the Boston market. She worked for the station's morning show and co-anchored the debut of WHDH's first 4 p.m. news. After being on personal leave since July 2001, she resigned in September 2001 to dedicate her full-time to raise her children and be with her husband and family.
