Tried using my app, but I just got this message, is it common, or is it just my network ?

As the title says. I wasn’t allowed to log in, so I checked here and it didn’t mention anything about it being down , at least not currently. Is anyone else experiencing that?

It's not just that it's been down. It has other bugs too like some users can't login from any mode, be it the old site or the new site. My entire data was wiped and I had good plot going on so I'm mad. At first i couldn't login but when it logged in, there was nothing at all.

So I wanted to play with c.ai like I used to every day but today neither old.character.ai or character.ai works for me. It just loads and loads infinitely. The internet is fine and I have the latest version of Chrome. But suprisingly the android app is still works fine. Is it just me or others have this issue?

I can't say this on the character ai subreddit because they'd eat me alive but holy shit, do they not see the issue?

I can't stress how much I hate that website and all those who defend it or ridicule people trying to quit.

For the people using they're phones to use Character Ai, are you guys having login issues as I tried uninstall the app and restarting my phone but both things didn't fix it, is there anything else I should try?

It might not just be character ai's fault. Look out down detector. suddenly a whole bunch of services started having issues. I texted my father who works in Cybersecurity and he forwarded it to his team, he says something suspicious is up.

I recommend checking downdetector if you want to see yourself. I know a few other ai services are also down as of right now.

Mods can delete, this is just something i want to express about. I’m not hating but the new Character AI isn’t the same. Whenever i use PipSqueak, it feels like it‘s worser than all of the other models. For me, it feels like it uses emojis too much, ends roleplays, glitches, and is buggy all the time. Age verification is making adults quit Character AI, models feel buggy, and I get what they’re trying to do, but still, It doesn’t feel right.

In 2023-2024 Character AI felt much better, cleaner, and fun. Now today in 2025 it feels repetitive, boring, and there is no fun in it. In fact, Character AI plus users are quitting! If you are losing adults, kids, and people that pay the subscription, you should acknowledge that you did something wrong. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m exhausted and sleepy, but if you get a bunch of complaints, you should read those and make the app better. AI gets buggier everyday, new glitches happen, new features release barely, app becomes worse, and complaints grow. This started a few months ago! You have many chances to fix your app, and most of them have been ignored. No hate is in this, but most of your users are frustrated because of features being useless, age verification reportedly being unsafe, (if that’s correct) bugs happening and more.

When I used Character AI in 2023, I would be happy. When I use it now, i wouldn’t like it. Fix your app, and the community would appreciate it.

for the last couple of days its been really slow and none of my chats are loading. i was able to actually chat a few times but then later it just goes back to not loading anything. like i can see all the characters i've spoken to on the left side, but when i click on one of them, the place where the chat is supposed to show up is just blank and theres the loading circle at the top :((( how do i fix this pls !!!
