Charlotte Ritchie

Every series of Taskmaster myself and a friend, who also loves the show, are constantly going back and forth about who will win (when we're both watching in time with each other) and usually we have 2 or 3 names in the mix. Dara Vs Sarah. Ed Vs Rose. Liza Vs Tim or Russell.

In series 11, we heavily and hottly discussed who might win, and it's the only series where, from the start, we certain who wouldn't win. Jamali didn't make it to our threeway of Lee, Mike, and Sarah discussion, but we still considered him. But never once did we ever think Charlotte Ritchie would come anywhere but last.

Honestly, I love her for it. I love when someone comes on and they try their best and then they completely scuff it. She's one of the best to ever do it.

Constantly positive and constantly failing, and she isn't a stand up comic or anything like that, so there was no act with, it was just her. Sometimes I feel like the stand ups can keep their "personas" up too much, if that makes any sense. Don't get me wrong, the stand ups are still funny and that is their job, but my favourites are the ones who come on and just be themselves as much as the can and she did that. Katherine Parkinson did that. I love them, I'd make the case that Asim Chaudry did it as well.

Everything she did in the tasks was great, and I loved how she was in the studio. I know she said she was nervous in the studio for a while, but I was enjoying it all while. I remember one part when she got 4 points for a task and cheered like she had won the episode.

But there you go, Charlotte Ritchie is one of the best to ever lose on Taskmaster. I'll die before I change my mind.

Just getting around to watching series 11 and I find myself getting irrationally annoyed haha.

I’m halfway through and if feels like almost every other task she sort of gets shafted. Like she’ll do really well and Greg will put her down.

It feels like he’ll bend on the rules for some of the other contestants, but for her it’s no mercy.

Small example was the ep I just watched, she brought 3 alarm clocks and they played them. Objectively annoying. But she won second to last place, beaten out by face paint and a nipple to represent liking things in your mouth. And she got the comment “you’re an adult stop being annoyed by sleep”

I haven’t really felt like anyone has been targeted as much.

That’s my rant. It doesn’t matter or anything, but was just annoying me and wanted to see if I’m only one who felt that way.
