I'm having an issue where I can't get ahold of customer service. I got approved for an Amazon visa and it was supposed to be coming in the mail, however I had just got a new apartment and I didn't know there was a slip in the mailbox saying it was still vacant. Now my credit karma says the acounts closed but chase says it isn't on their automated phone thing, now I can't make an account on chase.com and I can't get connected to customer service because I don't have my card information and on top of all of that I have a Balance of 6 dollars that I have no way of paying. Does anyone know what to do I am about to lose my mind
Really long story short: I only have the last 12 digits of my amazon store card number. It is impossible to get through any of their phone systems without the full card number. I have tried everything that I, or any of my associates, can think of over the last 8 months (since I had a seizure, spent time in the hospital, lost all my money in income, and closed the account.)
Any chance the first four digits are the same on all their cards and someone can give me the first four? I tried googling that to no avail.
I am desperate. So much gold and internet love to anyone who can think of something I haven't already tried.
Here is the reason it is such a huge deal: I have auto pay on from a long time ago, coming out of my main bank account that I only use after I transfer money to cover what ever I am about to buy. (I have reasons for this.) Twice a month, chase tries to charge the account for the $500 autopay, overdrawing the my bank for up to 3 days. At that point, I have no access to my money.
Thank you for your help...
I recently completed an application for the Amazon Prime Credit Card. Apparently I got a call about it today from Chase, but I was asleep. I redialed the number from Chase and it just talked about how I can get off the call list. I tried to use the Amazon Customer Service number they listed for Chase and they want a credit card number for them to help me. I just need to find a way to contact them because they called me and I have no idea what they wanted to talk about.
2 months ago I got approved for the Amazon credit card through chase, (signed up with Amazon) I never received a physical card in the mail. Now last night I got an email from chase saying my balance was DUE!!! I never once used the card! Okay, maybe it’s interest or it’s a fee or whatever. I’m trying to login to my account to view it but I don’t remember my login. Fine, but since I can’t login and I never got a physical card I cannot reset my password because it asks for card/account number. I can’t view either of those!!! Chase customer service was little help, and Amazon customer service straight up ignored me. I was told I need to contact chase with my address and they’ll send me a new card but I don’t live at that address anymore so I don’t know if they’ll even be able to send a new card. What do I do I’m freaking out here.
Experiencing the ultimate Fustration with Amazon Prime Visa a 1-888-247-4080 Go absolutely no where just a giant automated loop no customer support. Here’s my situation. I had this card for a year I never had any troubles and in good standing with paying on time, until now. Here it is Christmas time. Trying to order a new Mattress off Amazon. payment decline. Okay I updated the card the billing address on Amazon website. Still declined called Amazon they say you have to call the bank the problem is no one to talk to. The bank menu option update billing information. I am so cancelling there card outrageous! Frustrating
I have been an Amazon Prime member for many years. We just purchased a house and thought it would be nice to make use of the Amazon Prime Rewards credit card. I applied on the Amazon website and they said they had to review my application and I would be getting a letter in the mail within a few days.
I go the letter and they said I needed to give them more information. They gave a number as 1-877-260-0087. When calling, they prompt to hit 1 for cards and 2 for everything else. Hitting 1, they immediately ask for my SSN. I thought this was odd. But unfortunately I did it.
I was placed on a hold and was answered by someone with a VERY thick accent and horrible connection. I could not understand the person at all and asked to speak to someone else. They also had a bad accent and a bad connection. Then I asked about the letter and gave them the reference number. They ran through a spiel and asked for more information to verify my identity. Full name, address and County. They then asked for my phone number so they could send me a one-time verification code by text to confirm my identity and I gave them my number and they said that it wouldn't work so they then ask for my SSN and said the IRS would charge me $50 if I did not give it to them. Both people I talked to had a problem with sending me the text message.
I laughed and hung up.
I searched online for the Chase number, called them and told them what was going on. I am not a Chase customer but They said it sounded fishy. The Chase number was listed as 1 (800) 432-3117 . They said a 1-877 number would be fake.
When I came home I used my Amazon app to try to apply again but was notified I had to wait 30 days.
My wife applied through the amazon website (using a VPN) and we got the same letter in the mail today asking for more information. What the hell. Same phone number.
Am I being paranoid? I would like that Amazon credit card but I do NOT want to literally put my SSN on a piece of paper and mail/fax it to who knows where.

Edit: added more information.
I have a checking account with Chase Bank. I also have an Amazon Visa credit card. The Amazon card is with JP Morgan Chase Bank.
The problem is I can't pay my monthly Amazon credit card payment online at all. When you try to link your checking account with your Amazon card on the Chase website/app, it doesn't even include Chase in the list. It has every bank except Chase (?) that doesn't make any sense to me at all 😕
What is Chase customer service hours and #? I need to reset pw and regain account name reset.
Signed up for Amazon prime credit card very recently and Every time the Amazon site redirects me when I click things like make payment or check statement the chase site is telling me
“it looks like you used a different account or your Amazon account is hidden”
“Please make sure your chase username and password matches your Amazon rewards Visa card or unhide your Amazon account under profile and settings”
What does that mean? I’ve called chase customer service and they’ve hung up on me 3 times so I’m wondering is anyone else having this problem
Around 10% of my total 2024 spend was on Amazon purchases…might be a no brainer but thoughts on getting an Amazon CC for those purchases if I’m expecting similar spending going forward?
I just received my replacement Chase Amazon Visa credit card because I lost the previous one. The letter that came with the card indicated that the card is ready to use and “you no longer need to verify your credit card.”
My question is this: why is verification no longer necessary? Anyone could have just opened my mailbox, stolen this credit card before I get it, and actually use it! Why is Chase no longer requiring verification? That seems bizarre to me. Can anyone provide some insight?
