What credit score do I need for a Chase credit card?
Does Chase do a credit check when I apply for a card?
Do I need a Chase account to get a Chase credit card?
We've added our children ages 10 and 8 as authorized users to our credit cards to help establish their credit early. The CC company shipped credit cards to them but do we need to activate the credit cards for them to actually benefit from this or can we just shred the cards and they can still build their credit?
Hi I'm an international student who's doing Grad studies in the US. As for title I just want to get my foot in the door with Chase.
Current cards:
BoA Secured: $400 limit, August 2023
BoA Customized: $3500 limit, June 2024
Discover IT Student: $500 limit, July 2024
Tuition Installments (reported as student loan): $58,836 (I was paying in full last year but I changed to installments this year as I did not know if this could affect my credits but my parents will have more time to get money to pay)
FICO Score: 666 Experian (7/21), 664 Vantage (7/24)
Oldest account age: 11 months
Chase 3/24
My credit was at 732 (TransUnion) before I got the Discover card and the Installments. I applied for C1 Savor1, got accepted but no SUB so I declined (got hard inquiry from this as well). Got denied when applying for Prime Visa. So back to the title, what's really a good time to apply for a Chase credit card? Since I've seen people said I could apply when I have at least 1 year of credit history. Or should I open a Chase checking account so that I'd get a better chance in the future? I'm so sorry if this is a messy post and I'm very appreciated for all the helps I could get. Thank you!
