Whenever ChatGPT generates content that is all nicely formatted and I try and copy it out into word, google docs, notes…anything, it looses all formatting and just turns into a mess of words. I’ve tried work around with using html but that is just such a stuff around.
Anyone got any tips on how I can take exactly what ChatGPT produces and copy it elsewhere whilst maintaining its formatting, layout etc…?

chatGPT writes very nice formatted text. But if I try to copy this text, it loses all the <CR><LF>'s and puts everything into one large paragraph.
How do I copy the text while preserving the formatting?
I am using chatGPT on Chrome on Win 10.
Ask ChatGPT to give the output in a code block. ( I specified "like an md file"). Then you can use the copy-paste feature that it has for copying code. It also doesn't format it in a blue/white box.
I asked it to give a template for a cover letter. Easier The bluish box is when you highlight and copy. The bottom one is when you turn into code.Sorry if anyone has already posted about this (I will take the post down if someone has). I couldn't find anything related to this.
