Give me your absolute cheapest laser printer recommendations. I need one.
Best at home laserjet printer. No color needed. Cheap. With cheap ink replacement. I have to get away from HP and refilling cartridge myself.
Absolutely the best for reliable, long-term, monochrome document printing is Brother. I’m in IT at a research university, and I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on really nice printers for faculty who insisted they have all the bells and whistles. Nothing has outlasted the Brother HL series I bought for myself in 2006.

How many pages per document do you need to scan?
Because I'm about 90% sure that 'separate scanner and printer' will turn out to be the way to go. A dedicated Laserjet and Scanjet with document feeder will take up more space, but be cheaper to buy and run, and more reliable. You'd probably need to go used for the scanner.
Honestly? €150 won't get you a good, new printer of any type. Cheap laser printers are just like cheap inkjet printers - you're not paying for print hardware, you're paying for DRM chips to prevent you using third party toner. This week I picked up a colour laser printer for free from a local recycling network. It needs a new drum (About €100), but had four full toner cartridges in it. Previously I bought a duplex HP Laserjet for €7 in a charity shop, with a full toner cartridge. All I've ever done to that HP is put paper in, and take prints out - I haven't even changed the (expired 2013) compatible toner cartridge. Enough businesses are throwing out perfectly good laser printers as part of 'lifecycle management' that you should never be buying one new. Scrounge an older, higher-end model for cheap instead.

Sick of dealing with $35 inkjet garbage printers that work just fine the first few times you use them and then magically the ink dries up, or the paper feeders break, or there happens to be a full moon and suddenly the printer decides it never wants to work again.
It'll be used by my wife & I. We only print a few times a year at most, combined total is no more then 20 pages a year if that. Annoyingly enough, we print enough to justify having a printer but not enough to justify spending a lot of money on one. Monochrome is fine, no need for color.
