Do NOT buy from apartments, or multiplex units. Last time, I negiotated for an item, checked the location, checked the bedbug report then bailed. I have had one encounter with one bed bug (interestingly it came from a library so NEVER put your backpack on the floor) and that was enough. Took months for the allergic reaction to go away. April 12, 2023What's a cheap couch or futon that's decent quality?
Do you have an IKEA near you? They have several styles of couch/futon under $300 but their shipping is pricey. This one is only $179, but I can’t vouch for the quality. If you live close to a college then see if they have a trade/sell Facebook group - you can probably snag one super cheap but questionably clean. Also keep an eye on your local thrift stores and Craigslist, obviously. More on reddit.com

Honestly futons might just suck haha. I've had three. All very uncomfortable couches for extended periods, and didn't take long before they were uncomfortable to lie on as well. I would recommend against metal pole style frames and go for wood slats if able.
