For mouse, you want a lightweight (~60g or less) and 1000hz poll rate sensor. Any keyboard will do, although do buy a normal looking keyboard (not one with flat keys, those aren't good for general use/gaming) I don't recommend mice/keyboard combo, there are good ones yes, but rarely. Your options are a bit limited at $50. You can still get a mechanical keyboard. You'll probably want to stick with brown/red equivalent switches. Here's a site I wrote: https://keyboards.justbuythisthing.com/ I have friends with Ajazz and Royal Kludge and they're happy with them. I have a Keychron and it's fine. Redragon seems a little iffy in defect rate but people seem fine with them if they don't malfunction. You can also try the wizard: https://keyboards.justbuythisthing.com/recommendation-wizard but nearly everything it will recommend will be out of your price range. More on reddit.com
What keyboard and mouse to buy from gaming
As a keyboard a royal kludge would do well. Pretty happy with it and affordable. I have an expensive logitech and a kludge. The cheap one feels more sturdy and high quality while the expensive one has keys that broke apart due to the hooks.... Rubbish. I can say that i was happy wired with razer deathadder v2. Really happy. Then i bought an almost new logitech wireless superlight mouse for £40 and it is sooo light and feels so nice that i can't stop using it. It is too good. More on reddit.com

I was recently looking for good cheap mice, and the best one I found was the G203 (right now on sale for 20€ on Amazon). There might be usable even cheaper options out there, but if so, I have not been able to find them. A few budget friendly mechanical keyboard options (according to another Reddit post that I cannot link due to rule 3) are the RedDragon K552, EagleTech KG011, as well as one by Tomoko and Bluefinger. However if you don't want a mechanical keyboard, pretty much any wired keyboard should probably be fine, as long as it supports at least 6-key or ideally n-key rollover. At least for gaming, mice below 15$ are basically unusable. You just need a certain grade of sensor for it to work properly. Keyboards are less of a big deal. Higher end keyboards might look/feel nicer of have extra features, but as long as it doesn't have a lot of input lag and you can press multiple different buttons at once (n-key rollover), it should at least work.

Best Gaming Keyboards 2026: We've Tested Full-size, TKL, Mini, and more | Tom's Hardware
3 days ago - Your keyboard is your primary connection to your PC — a new keyboard will give you a much more noticeable difference than just about any other upgrade, and it's much cheaper than a new GPU. Keyboards are pretty personal for all users, but they're especially personal for gamers: you need a gaming keyboard that's speedy and accurate, and that doesn't get in the way of your mouse swiping.

Best gaming keyboards in 2026: the fastest, smoothest and loveliest boards I've tested | PC Gamer
4 days ago - Coming in as one of the cheapest Hall effect keyboards I've seen so far, it offers rapid trigger, adjustable actuation down to 0.1 mm, 8,000 Hz polling, and RGB backlighting for a fraction of the cost of many. The adjustable actuation is notably impressive on this board. It goes from 3.3 mm down to 0.1 mm. That means the slightest pressure on a keycap will be translated in-game for rapid response times—providing you're quick on the ball yourself, that is.
