What are your ideas for affordable, home made gifts for loved ones which don't require too much skill?
I'm not great at DIY, so some of home made gifts that I've made that are affordable and doesn't stress me too much...
- Lolly jars. I buy airtight glass jars, and mix of lollies (and chocolate) of my choice from wholesalers or wherever is cheaper.
- Buy craft kits (when on special) and follow instructions XD
- Personalised mugs. Places like officeworks and vistaprint offer customised mugs for example. If you have creative flair, you could buy the markers yourself (ie: porclein markers), buy a plain mug and decorate yourself.
- Homemade mixes in jar. such as cake mix, soup mix, risotto mix.
- Anything that is home made that involves sweet treats like cakes and brownies are always a win (thank goodness for youtube and multiple websites for instructions and recipe ideas!)
I need cheap gift ideas as a disabled person with very little money
I’m getting desperate for low-cost Christmas gifts for my neighbours. 10-12 females. 40-50.
I was debating a gift or so each from dollarama.
Something cool or personalized seems desirable.
I am open to buying bulk items or giving them all each of something. Ie. each a candle especially in addition to something else.
I’ve also thought about:
paintings for some
journals with their names
personalized stockings (seemed expensive) maybe dollar stores have cheap stockings?
maybe tumblers
canvas totes with iron on transfers
mugs
custom art in dollar store frames
If possible I don’t want to spend over $60 max
Ideally 30-40.
I also might buy halloween candy and throw some in with each gift, but make sure it doesn’t expire before Christmas of course.
Gift bags etc. do not matter.
Amazon is an option too.
If I do baked goods I will buy them. I rather not cook if possible. Things I can buy now or start now are preferred as if my condition worsens near Christmas I risk not being able to do anything and then I will not have gifts. Because of this I am trying to get them done ASAP.
I’m in Canada.
Thanks in advance
My husband and I are really struggling this year for Christmas. We were able to get our kids a couple nice things, but really the bare minimum. They won't be missing out, they do receive things all throughout the year ☺️ but are there any suggestions for the man? I am decent at homemade art, I am a fairly good baker. I am not working at the moment due to an injury but I'm fighting with workers comp for a payout so unfortunately I have absolutely ZERO funds to myself. I just want to be able to make something for him as he's been so strong throughout this ordeal with me and he has the kindest heart and it would break my heart for him to not have something on Christmas morning to open! I did have one gift, but it was an electric shaver that was supposed to be for Xmas but he was about to go out and buy one since his broke in October and I didn't want him to waste the money on a new one when I had one right there! Lol. Any suggestions would be so appreciated!
