What are people saying about grocery in Chicago, IL?
"Aldi is a great place to get inexpensive groceries. I love that they are nearby me. They are great to stop by for essential items. They don't have everything and you might not be able to get all your groceries here, but the prices make up for this. Generally service is fine, I don't interact with employees often but when I do they are always helpful and kind. Ambiance is nothing special."

I’m on the north side. Money is tight. I do shop around a bit but where are your go to spots for each of the different things: dry goods, frozen, toiletries, paper goods, produce, etc. thanks.
I normally shop at Walmart but lately I don't feel like I am saving. The groceries seem SO expensive. I live in an area that has Hispanic markets and Asian Markets. Does anyone know if these are usually actually cheaper?
As the title says, what're the cheapest you've found in Chicago? For me it's been Aldi. I could buy a week's worth of healthy filling food for $20 there.
I’m on the NW side of Chicago. Aldi tends to have the best prices unless your bulk buying (although I’ve had some issues with quality), Costco can be a nightmare to get in & out, and Jewel is kinda pricy.
What’s the best value you have seen for general grocery purchases?
Mainly for stocking up on canned goods and staples. I’m picky about my produce but would love to find somewhere with cheaper staples.
