So, currently the main CE page downloads "CheatEngine75.exe" which is 7.6 when viewed from Help > About.

OTOH there isn't a compiled exe version for 7.5 on Github, why, and where can I actually get 7.5?

What's going on?

I downloaded 7.5 from github and it gave me a .zip archive, I extracted it but I can't find the executable anywhere in the folder structure. I see a bunch of weird folders and lots and lots of files but I see no executable and there is no start menu option to invoke it.

Hello, I used to download the cheat engine 7.5 before through github and do the source code download through Lazarus, however the Github webite seems not yet updated, is it safe to download directly on the website instead?

When I downloaded it off what I thought was the official site (cheatengine.org) it registered as malware. I’ve used cheat engine for years and it’s never happened before?

I was watching a video on how to download cheat engine and this link Cheat Engine 7.5 Clean (mediafire.com) was the download link that the guy used to download it. Apparently this is the "virus free" way of downloading it. I put it through virus total along with the normal cheat engine download. The media fire link said 0 viruses whilst the normal download said 1. I also read something that even if you press decline on the normal download, bloatware still installs. Idk, i just want a clean download with no viruses or bloatware. Please help. Btw, the guys channel was Pringle_ .

It seems that different from most other versions, v7.5 is not available for download on the GitHub page, I need specifically cheat engine v7.5.

Any way to find it?

cheat engine-x86_64-sse4-avx2.exe could not be found is what I get after installing CE 7.5 and trying to lunch program. AV didn't detect or block anything. how to fix this?

The website is down and i can't get Lazarus to work (it downloads but then just vanishes on my PC), which they say i should have on the GitHub page. Are there any alternatives?

Speedhack in SP working fine for me. Basically it's a non-install portable version. Just extract the archive and run, no problems or flags whatsoever.

I tried every method of downloading it, using lazarus (seems like line 194 is a problem, i'm guessing the link for it is also down). is this just a me problem or is the site for actually downloading CE down for 7.5 (it works for mac 7.5.2 but not windows 7.5?)

So, I've been using cheat engine for a good while, but my version 7.1 is a little outdated. It works fine enough for manual variable editing, but I've found that almost no pre-made cheat tables out there work with it. So, I was thinking about updating to 7.5, but when you google Cheat Engine, some of the first results are concerns about spyware/bloatware that comes with the regular installer. However, learning anything beyond that has proven more difficult. I'm just a little on edge, since I recall the person behind ReShade did something recently-ish where he loaded the application with some kind of malicious side-processes after people upset him by "misusing" his program, and its all got me concerned. I can't find any answers though, so I'm wondering if anyone here can shed some light on this situation.

Should I download cheat engine 7.5 is it worth it? If so is there a easy way to update without having to go through all the installation bloatware stuff?
