Fried blue crabs on the buffet for dinner, as well as crawfish. Super busy on Sundays. Super China Buffet in Norridge - good sushi bar, big selection, also mongolian grill station. No crabs, but mussels and baby clams available. Fried shrimp are also there, but small shrimp. Very busy at all times. Super China Buffet in the Brickyard - same owner as the above, less selection, I think it's $1 cheaper. Yummy Buffet on Lawrence - horrible, avoid, they significantly reduced the selection post-Covid, and there's really not much left. Hong Kong Buffet on McCormick - also really bad, it doesn't get much foot traffic on the weekends, so the food is stale. Also, place is extraordinary dirty inside. Most buffet places aren't too clean, but this one is really dirty. New China Buffet in Melrose Park - this one is decent, but if I am out here in this suburb, I go to Nuevo China Buffet. Hibachi Grill Asian Buffet in Elk Grove - this one is decent. Selection is smaller, but sushi counter and mongolian grill is decent. Prime rib and fried shrimp for dinner. Selection is definitely on the smaller side. Drinks are not included in the buffet price. China Buffet Mongolian BBQ in Arlington Heights - avoid, very limited selection and they don't get much foot traffic. Shiki Buffet in Cicero, have not tried yet. Asia Buffet & Grill on Cicero, super super super busy, and just average compared to the others, not really worth heading out to. I wonder what is the best chinese buffet left to Chicago and surrounding area not that Ginza have close down? The other week i was by Cicero and was going to Golden Corral but I have a sudden iche for Clam so I went to that Two Volcano place that is across from Best buy at Ford city.
It was actually not bad at 15 ish given how expensive every is nowsday. Most of the stuff is a bit below average but the pepper beef and the clam are totally good and the moglian grill station is awesomne with the fresh stirred fried noodle

One time, we went to a Chinese buffet, and we were HOUNDED for a tip. We were getting ready to leave when the waitress grabbed the tip off the table and counted it and told us it "wasn't enough." Um, what?! She argued with us, and when we walked away, she then followed us to the front of the restaurant, yelling about how it wasn't enough of a tip, we were cheap, etc. Never went back, and definitely cemented my feelings about not tipping. It depends what you are looking for. Both in selection and price. The grand buffet by Franklin mills is pretty solid especially if you like hibachi with your buffet. But the sushi could be better. And it's relatively cheap. Umi in Deptford NJ is pricey but really good. Solid selection of sushi, hot pot included, ramen included, good selection of standard Chinese buffet items, interesting items if you are feeling adventurous.
