Hmmmmmm something ain’t right

There are always people who think Hollywood actors are gnomes or something. Bullshit.

Consider the average height: 5ft 9.3. Yes, young people are a bit taller, but they're not the only population there is.

Now consider that actors slightly below that, or even AT that, like Tom Cruise (5ft 7.5) or Mel Gibson (5ft 9) will get called short, small, etc. That's because the norm is higher. In celebheights.com, the average male celebrity is 5ft 10.75, and specific movie casts are often past 5ft 11 and sometimes even past 6 foot. Remember 5ft 11 is around 70th percentile and 6ft is 85th percentile. People are making the exceptions (which are often not even that short) into the rule!

Look at how many tall actors there are, for example:
Liam Neeson, 6ft 4
Tom Selleck, 6ft 4
Chris Hemsworth, 6ft 3
Will Ferrell, 6ft 3
Ryan Reynolds, 6ft 2
Hugh Jackman, 6ft 2
Morgan Freeman, 6ft 2
Ben Affleck, 6ft 2
Chris Pratt, 6ft 2
Will Smith, 6ft 1.5
Jim Carrey, 6ft 1.5
Arnold, 6ft 1.5
Bill Murray, 6ft 1
Kevin Costner, 6ft 1

And so many in the 6ft range that putting them in would make this post too long.

Clint Eastwood, 6ft 4
John Wayne, 6ft 4
Jimmy Stewart, 6ft 3
Clark Gable, 6ft 3
Gregory Peck, 6ft 2.5

That's a lot, considering they are all in the top ~10% of height!
