Last weeks Parks and Recreation premier had some guardians of the galaxy cast members together.
Andy (Chris Pratt) explains the weight loss by saying he dropped 50 pounds by not drinking beer anymore. They goto London and Andy ends up in a meeting with Lord Edgar Covington (Peter Serafinowicz) which is essentially just a british version of Andy but with loads of cash. He ends up staying there for work so that may be how they explain his lack of appearances on the show this season. Since GoTG is shooting in London I believe, they'll probably have random episodes where Andy is doing stupid stuff in the UK somewhere.
Just a heads up.

They set the episode in London to take advantage of Pratt's shooting schedule/not just make Andy disappear completely with explanation, but he's off the show until Guardians finishes filming in a few week. Likely won't show up again on the show until around December.
