That is correct, the Advanced Settings menu was removed about as year ago in all the Chromium based browsers like Edge and Chrome, all settings are now just in the Settings menu, try searching for whatever setting you need in there.

Vivaldi is great and I don't know why I put up with Google Chrome for so long. I needed to download a file from Google drive onto a USB drive, and when I went to Chrome to try and change the download folder there were no settings. I don't have all afternoon to screw around anytime. Google "updates" Chrome in order to prevent users from configuring it the way that they want to. What other reason could there be to hide settings in Chrome? I even reinstalled Chrome with an old installation file but I ended up with the same version with no settings. I say good luck with that. But sadly, probably 80% of people will put up with whatever abuse. Google shells out – end of course Microsoft too. They are even worse More on reddit.com

Odd as other poster said chrome://settings - but tbh on my pc I'm on latest stable release and I've never seen the settings option disappear on me from the normal menu method of accessing it so something else may also be going no with your config.

I downloaded Adobe and now when I download a PDF in Chrome, it automatically opens it in Adobe. I don't want that. Every help article I'm finding is saying to go to the settings menu, then advanced settings. However, I'm also seeing, for several years, people not able to find the advanced settings menu. I'm in the same boat. There is no advanced settings on the left side of chrome. How can I access this or turn off the fact that chrome auto opens every PDF in adobe? I hate it.

Thanks to another user CornelG7 that I found on another thread from a while back, the way to fix this from happening is:
To fix go to Adobe -> Preferences -> General -> Uncheck "Open PDFs automatically in Reader when they are downloaded in Chrome browser"
That has solved my problem, still doesn't answer why Advanced Settings isn't there in Chrome anymore. Did they do away with it?

Yes, I see my device when I perform "chrome:inspect" on my desktop Chrome! I guess that the developer options setting no longer exists in Android Chrome and USB debugging Android Chrome must always be enabled, or at least enabled if USB debugging in the Android OS settings is enabled.
