I wouldn't go as far to say it's timeless. Chrome is probably the timeless finish for a bathroom. Black fixtures are trendy right now, and could date the bathroom. Not to say it won't age well. Some things age well, and some don't. To help with your decision, you might want to consider the whole bathroom (not just white tile): e.g. paint, floor, vanity, light(s), and door fixtures. And how does the bathroom tie into the rest of the house: it might be preferable that there's consistency throughout the house, rather than see a strong contrast (black and white) when entering the bathroom, which is not present elsewhere. We have black fixtures in our bathroom. They’re 3 years old and haven’t had any flaking of the finish. I really like them! They do show hard water marks but we have two small children and I find the hard water splotches easier to stay on top of than finger prints. I know you’re not taking about changing faucets so that’s irrelevant to you but if anyone else is wondering haha. But ya. I like them. No complaints here! They’re holding up well and maintenance is low. More on reddit.com
