I am in the army national guard as an mp and have previous experience as a legal intern have a mid high school gpa go to a mid college with a 3.2 gpa as a freshman studying financial technology and I want an accounting or other finance related internships at the cia would I make it or how competitive is it? Would it help to go on active duty orders to improve my resume?

I have applied to 2 federal agencies so far, however, my resume isn’t that good and I am just trying to get my foot in the door and get a security clearance but I’m sort of lost and don’t know where to start aside from those two agencies I applied for.

I started with an unpaid internship and then got a paid one. Also widen your net. You might need to get your foot in the door at another agency before you become attractive enough (resume wise) for State, CIA, FBI, etc.

The career center has a list of paid co-ops with agencies. Also there is the paid Presidential Managed Internship. Generally for grad students. I did one at OPM. Check the career center out.
