We offer internships, scholarships, a co-op program and other programs for students in high school up through doctoral candidates.

Undergraduate students, serving as scholarship recipients with the CIA, attend an accredited college or university on a full-time basis, studying a variety of subjects, and work during summer breaks at the CIA. While working at the Agency, students are exposed to intelligence challenges while performing meaningful work that relates to their college major. December 11, 2024 - The Directorate of Operations (DO) is getting ready to start accepting resumes for its student internship program, which was restarted in March of this year. The DO Student Internship (DOSI) program is open to current freshmen that have completed one semester in a 2 or 4-year college program.

It also offers tuition assistance, plus guaranteed paid summer internships at CIA headquarters. What makes it unique is the long-term commitment: students complete multiple summer tours while studying, and upon graduation, they transition directly into full-time positions.

The application period for summer 2023 will be open November 1 - 30, 2022, or after the first 100 applications are received for each announcement. Applications will be accepted online at USAJOBS (https://www.usajobs.gov).

October 22, 2025 - We encourage all 6th-12th grade students who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership ability to apply to our summer programs. For high school programs, students must be between the ages of 14-18 and have completed at least one year of high school.
