What rewards does the Citi / AAdvantage Executive Card offer?
What rewards does the Citi / AAdvantage Business Mastercard offer?
What additional benefits does the Citi / AAdvantage Executive Card offer?
I recently opened a new Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select card. I don't think my AAdvantage account # was linked when I applied (might have forgotten to put it in? I can't remember.)
The card was delivered today and it doesn't show my AAdvantage # on the back. Also – Citi's banking site shows my miles balance as zero.
I called American Airlines – waited an hour on the phone, only for the agent to tell me "you're gonna have to call Citi to fix this."
I then call Citi – and they tell me "we don't do that, you have to call American Airlines."
Who's not telling me the right thing? How do I link my accounts together?
I just want to make sure that all of the eligible purchases I make are in-fact being registered and counting for rewards points.
I already have an AA Advantage account. The credit card is brand new. Am I supposed to connect them somehow? Seems that the logical answer yes but it is baffling as to how non informative the AA website is.
How do I link new AA card with already existing AA Advantage account so I can ensure that my spending counts toward miles. New to the game. Thanks.
I recently got the Citi AAdvantage American Airlines card, and it’s been nothing but frustration. Despite having a credit score of 792 and an income north of $200k, Citi gave me a shockingly low $1,500 credit limit. I don’t carry much debt, so this made zero sense.
I signed up for two reasons: the 75k intro bonus and the fact that I travel for work about 50% of the time. I regularly charge $2k+ in flights each month and pay off the balance immediately—so having an airline card seemed like a no-brainer.
Here’s the kicker: Citi takes 10 business days to process an ACH bank payment. That’s two full weeks before my available credit updates. Compared to Amex (instant) and Chase (1–2 days max), it’s absolutely insane. It’s made the card nearly unusable for my workflow.
Once I get the 75k miles, I’m seriously considering canceling. Citi feels like it’s operating in the Stone Age. I’m honestly flabbergasted by the lack of basic functionality and customer consideration.
