It include 3 parts (use Sonnet 4 as example): input cache write（5 mins） —— $3.75 / million token input cache read ——$0.30 / million token output —— $15 / million token each round will trigger these calculation, no matter you send message or the AI make a tool call for you. Hey everyone,
I’m feeling a bit lost and hoping you can help me clarify how billing works for Claude Pro and Claude Code, I thought they were bundled but now I’m not so sure:
I’m on the $20/month Pro plan, which gives access to Claude on web, desktop, mobile
I started using Claude Code, but I'm confused if it's going to start billing me as pay as you go or limited to my pro plan? and will reset after I hit the limit?
So my question Is Claude Code is included in the Pro plan, or will I get billed extra once I exceed usage?
I installed a tool called claude-monitor and it checks the consumption but I want to have more clarification about this

I'm using Claude Code in my terminal and logged in to my Pro account. According to Anthropic's support article when rate limit is reached, I should have the option to switch to pay-as-you-go usage with an Anthropic Console account. I just hit my rate limit and am presented with no options. What should I do to be able to resume my coding session with Console/API billing? I have a Console account with some pre-paid credit available.

Works for me. It opens a new browser window where you log into the anthropic console. What did not work is adding the credits. I could not click the 'pay button' at the bottom. Had to switch from Safari (I'm on a Mac) to Google to be able to buy the credits.
