GLM-4.7 vs GPT-5.1 vs Claude 4.5: Best AI Coding Models ...

Which model is better at coding for Claude Code?
Unless you spend like 2 months and 2k USD running benchmarks you cannot objectively say one is better or the other. Asking for this makes little sense. If someone does this they would publish their findings. They would not wait for you to ask here on reddit. Subjectively Opus is better when you're pushing the max token limit in the context. Basically anything over 120k tokens in the prompt I expect Opus to be better. More on reddit.com

Claude 4 models are absolute beasts for web development
It’s amazing to me what a difference understanding both software engineering and promoting makes to the whole experience. I find if I clearly define my requirements, give hints about what I suspect the cause might be for an issue, and act like a technical PM, Claude Code is just hands down the best coding agent on the market right now and with 4 Opus I’m just blown away by what it’s capable of. If you spin it up in a VM and pass in the —dangerously-skip-permissions flag it can independently work on some hard problems for a looong time without intervention. (I wouldn’t recommend using the flag within your actual OS though.) It is wild how much opinions on it seem to differ though. Sometimes I read comments that make me feel like we must be using different models. More on reddit.com

What Claude Code Models are effective for you?
Funny when Sonnet 3.7 a lot were loathing over Sonnet 3.7 and saying how they loved Sonnet 3.5 and keep it. Yes the results might change due to improvement that may require some prompt adjustement. I expected the question to be more Sonnet 4, vs Opus 4. Haiku is good for small tasks or invoking commands too. More on reddit.com
