Sonnet 4 is excellent for coding. I imagine the use limits will be annoying though. (I hit them all the time with Max haha)

Pro plan subscribers can access Sonnet 4, but won’t be able to use Opus 4 with Claude Code Seems more like a demo mode, but still better than nothing.

I've used claude code with api keys in the past, my account has zero credits.
Today I was going to try the claude code with pro subscription, but it just does not work. Im using the latest version of the CLI tool and it still says balance too low. even after logout, login, at login now it says "Add $5 to procced" which makes no sense.
So, how to use it?

The CLI will,ask you to login. Follow the prompts. Easy. Then, behinds the scenes, an API key is created and you will be charged on the go.

Anthropic website says that Claude Code is available with the Pro Plan, after installations (v1.0.10) login is only available with your own token or max plan. Is this a bug?

I did some digging with the Wayback Machine - that help page is new as of today. The prior version only mentioned the Max plan. Now that Claude Code is out of "preview" they're probably planning to open it up to the Pro tier, but there's been no announcement or anything. Likely this page got updated too early by mistake.

This was a launch fail. I thought we were unleashed to use Claude on Pro, so I upgraded and did the /login command. Then I ran it for a couple hours. Later that day, I got an email saying my API tokens had been refilled. 😕 It says it's using my Pro plan but it wasn't. Shady. /status output: https://share.zight.com/yAuRekDK
