Just so yall know Claud ai is giving CMU students a 95% discount : r/cmu
August 23, 2024 - In my experience, Claude's models significantly outperform the others for coding tasks. It doesn't really show up in the LLM benchmarks, but I'm much happier with it when I code. ... Has this worked for anyone in the past day? I attempted to sign up with my CMU email but was still showed the $20/mo billing option. ... Just did it today. this is great! ... Do you know if this ended? I just signed up with my CMU email, but not seeing any discount on mobile or desktop.

r/ClaudeAI on Reddit: Claude 25% off annual deal
February 26, 2025 -

Just bumped into a 25% off annual deal on claude's website and am thinking about grabbing it. I know a lot of people use Claude for coding, but I’m not a coder. I mainly use use AI for drafting emails, work stuff, simple spreadsheets, data analysis, household tasks, and sometimes just to vent. Had Perplexity last year but found myself using Claude or ChatGPT more often.

Since I can only afford an annual plan, I wanna make sure it’s the right move. I think memory and live internet search are things I’ll miss from Perplexity or ChatGPT. Any chance Claude adds those or something similar at some point?

Any other non-coders here on the annual plan? Worth locking in for a year?

r/ClaudeAI on Reddit: Is Claude Code Max ($120 USD/month) worth it if I’m constantly hitting Pro plan limits?
October 4, 2025 -

Hey everyone,

I’m a solo founder building my first web app and I’ve been using Claude Code Pro for coding and debugging. Lately, I’ve been constantly hitting the 5-hour daily usage limit, which is slowing me down a lot.

I’m thinking about upgrading to the Max plan ($200 NZD / ~$120 USD per month) for unlimited/extended access. I have no steady income right now, but I’ve freed up some budget

I want to hear from people who have experience:

  • Is the Max plan actually worth it for someone hitting daily limits on Pro?

  • Will it save enough time and frustration to justify the cost?

  • Any tips to get the most value out of the Max plan as a solo builder?

Basically, I’m trying to figure out if it’s a worthwhile investment in speed/productivity for my first project.

Thanks in advance!

openAI just gave students free chatgpt pro for two months, is there something similar for claude? I saw something called claude education, but doesn't seem to be the same thing as chatgpt. Is there any student discount or anything? Also I read on a different reddit post that students from cornell are getting claude for $1, does anthropic has similar plans for all the college students in near future?

r/ClaudeAI on Reddit: If you're a GitHub student member, you can essentially get free access to 3.5 Sonnet and use it whatever you like
October 30, 2024 -

I'm very hyped with Claude in Copilot, and right now I'm using it as my daily model along with o1 preview for coding, now that Claude.ai is useless for me in coding, this one is a huge advantage since not only it has access to repository and files context in Github but also the usage in Claude 3.5 is almost unrestricted with o1 as fallback... what are your thoughts about this change in Github in general?

for students like me having GitHub education membership which is free if you have right proofs, this is a very huge advantage since you don't need to subscribe additional and expect rate limits, and if 3.5 is in demand, you can always choose 4o and o1 preview... crazy right

Also, considering that copilot is cheaper $10 than claude or plus, its a great deal for people along with o1 preview so the model you choose is consolidated...
