I’m going through a similar issue. Here are some stores I found some solid options at, all which offer free returns: Abercrombie: Great options, often offers petite sizing as well, although is likely slightly above your stated budget RW&co: just released an “occasions” dress section with some nice options, i believe they’re around $125 H&M: If your budget is firm this will probably be your best bet. They have 100+ dresses available online at any given time and a handful will be dressier Some friends of mine have also found a few nice pieces at zara that they can dress up for weddings but I personally havent looked so I cant vouch for it Good luck 💕 More on reddit.com

Honestly it might be worth it just to rent. If you don't mind wearing the same dress to multiple events you might be able to get something close to your budget at Evernew, The Bay or Aritzia during sales, but $100 isn't going to stretch very far these days if you want something lump-free.
