I think they can be useful for repetition, but creating full projects on your own are probably more useful. I've used https://codewars.com and like the way it works, but the difficulty ramp isn't great (or it wasn't).

I did some https://projecteuler.net/ challanges. But overall, like said before, doing actual project is much better practice.
