If you were running low on your weekly quota, check again - OpenAI reset it early. Multiple people confirmed it on r/codex too.
Caught it live on my quota tracker, usage went from 30% to 0% well before the scheduled reset.

Problem is I'm getting spoiled with these resets. When they stop I'm gonna flip out I'm afraid. LOVE YOUR TRACKER!! Very nice!

Don't celebrate too soon, it's back to that bug they had last week where usage is consumed at an insane rate. Was able to blow through 50% of the new weekly ln about 10 minutes with one prompt.

I posted yesterday about how the recent wave of random Codex quota resets (4 times in 10 days) was arbitrarily pushing back our official renewal dates.
Well, the plot thickens. I was happily coding now, and I just noticed my plan got hit with another reset.
But here's the kicker: my next renewal date isn't just pushed back a few days this time. The entire cycle seems to have changed. Instead of my usual 1-week reset schedule, my dashboard is now showing that my limit window becomes 2 weeks. (From the previous post you can see my reset was supposed to be Mar 16, now it says Mar 17, but the limit becomes 2 weeks)
There had been too many resets, and it starts to get confusing.
Is this just a gnarly UI bug from all the recent backend churn, or did they silently change the quota cycle for everyone? What are your dashboards showing today?

Hi,
My quota is draining extremely fast. About 30 minutes of using GPT-5.4 drained 99% of my 5+ hour weekly limit. OpenAI reset my limit tonight. This morning, after just three requests, it dropped to 0%.
What the h*** is going on?
Am I the only one?

What I've found is that my gpt-5.4 (high) sessions have used 50% more tokens than my recent gpt-5.3-codex (high) sessions. Obviously not a directly comparable figure as the session tasks differ and I've only been using gpt-5.4 for a few days, but it is definitely more token hungry for my usage. I've dropped down to using gpt-5.4 medium today, and from just my own feel it seems to be using a similar amount of usage to gpt-5.3-codex high.

GPT5.4 is faster then 5.3... so perhaps it uses more tokens per second? Try with medium
