Edit: what's your experience level and what tools do you have? My wife walked into rejuvenation recently and decided this coffee table needed to be ours. I couldn’t fathom spending $2200 on it and have decided the start of my furniture making journey will start here. I believe I understand how to do most of it but I have a few questions.

How is the elbow done?

I’d imagine the only hardwood are the legs and frame. How do you get the veneer you’d install on the plywood to match the legs?

There would be many different ways to accomplish the "elbow" as you see it. Based on the close up photos, it looks like the "elbow" is a solid piece of wood that has been "carved" down to a curve. if it were me, I would create a jig for my table saw and methodically raise the blade 1/32 of an inch step by step to get the curve on one side. Then, sand it down as best as possible. And then create a curved sanding block template that matches the "elbow" to adhere sandpaper to to do the final shape. I am sure there are better ways, but that is what I would do with the tools that I have at my disposal. As far as the veneer. Just buy the same species of veneer as the species of hardwood that you use. Many online veneer stores offer many species in all various grain directions and patterns. The close up photo of the top sure makes it look like the top is individual pieces of hard wood. But, the product description clearly says veneered plywood. Maybe only the bottom shelf is veneered? Don't know. I really like "recreating" furniture I see online. One of my biggest projects was a large valet for the top of my wife's dresser that matches our bedroom furniture's look and feel. Good luck no matter what you do!
