Hope it is ok to ask this here since it movie related. Back in the day i used to love Collider movie news. For a youtube channel it was so well made. It informed me but it was also interesting to see discussions.
I also loved Screen Junkies movie fights.
Both are now gone. Dissapeared. I was away from that kind of stuff for a while so i didnt notice it dissapearing.
If i look up some info i see some things about people leaving but wasnโt that popular enough for other people or even channels to continue?
Who can tell me more and do you all miss it also?

There's a FASCINATING documentary to be made one day, charting the history of the YouTube movie fandom space. If you could draw the popularity on a chart, my hypothesis is that it would more or less peak around 2016 during Civil War when the MCU hype was in full swing, and you'd see it start to crash and burn around when The Last Jedi destroyed the Star Wars fandom and pit fans against reviewers in the biggest most ugly rift yet. Add on top of that the issues at Screen Junkies with Andy's scandal which left the team on the back foot, the sad passing of John Schnepp and Marc Fernandez taking Collider in completely the wrong direction and firing all his staff with zero notice. It was the perfect simultaneous implosion of THE two biggest movie review YouTube channels, and to this day the fandom just doesn't feel the same without them. Out of the wreckage we have Jon Campea and Dan Murrell running successful professional-looking channels, Chris Stuckmann and Jeremy Jahns doing what they've always done, then the rest of the teams from both channels trying to pick up the pieces (Schmoes etc.). It's never been the same again. But I'd watch the HELL out of that documentary if it ever got made.
