Thoughts on Colonel Tom Parker?
I think he’s a bully who should’ve let Elvis go on the international tour! He himself couldn’t go on tour but he could’ve sent someone else with Elvis to babysit! He trusted Elvis’ dad already, send him along to handle the business/finance stuff, they have phones so The Colonel could’ve checked in on Elvis that way! Elvis asked for ONE thing in the many years he did everything The Colonel told him to do, and he said no… that’s not right whatsoever! More on reddit.com
Whatever happened to the Colonel?
He did indeed get married but he had no children whatsoever, he continued his gambling addiction with the money he had after Elvis's death, he continued to live and worked in Las Vegas until he died in 1997 from a stroke at age 87. He continued to get and make money from Elvis's estate, he received $2 million dollars for all of the Elvis audio recordings and images he owns. So sadly he continued to use and use Elvis' money as gambling money even after Elvis' death, and Elvis never got to know who Tom parker really is even before dying or anytime in his life. What are your opinions on Tom Hanks performance as Colonel Tom Parker
Anyone remember Harold Zidler from Moulin Rouge? It was basically just that, but with Tom Hanks. It was very in line with Baz’s style of storytelling. Also, remember that the vast majority of the film is taking place within a drug-induced end-of-life hallucination by Parker, who in real life always viewed himself as a larger than life character and a bit of a jokester. Look up the Snowman’s League of America, Colonel Parker’s movie coats, Colonel Parker as Santa Claus, Colonel Parker wearing Elvis’s wig from Kissin Cousins, Colonel Parker wearing a sombrero… Parker was endlessly goofy and kind of over the top in real life. Colonel Tom Parker | Elvis Presley's Manager
A master illusionist in business and in the business of life, Tom Parker made things appear and disappear at will, and created something very great out of nothing - including himself. Out of respect for that, if nothing else, I went back to say good-bye. The giant marquee outside the Las Vegas Hilton was both sweet and succinct (FAREWELL, COLONEL PARKER), but not everybody knew what it meant.

Colonel Parker Managed Elvis’ Career, but Was He a Killer on the Lam?
August 3, 2023 - So far as the wider world knew, the Colonel was Thomas Andrew Parker, born in Huntingdon, West Virginia, some time shortly after 1900. He had toured with carnivals, worked with elephants and managed a palm-reading booth before finding his feet in the early 1950s as a music promoter. Had anyone taken the trouble to inquire, however, they would have discovered that there was no record of the birth of any Thomas Parker in Huntingdon. They might also have discovered that Tom Parker had never held a U.S.

Although there have been several stories written about Parker, and about Parker and Elvis, the full story of Colonel Parker has never been revealed. The Colonel Parker story apparently went down in the grave with him when he died. Several books have been written about the Colonel Parker phenomena, but none apparently has the full or real story.

A New Light On Colonel Tom Parker | Elvis Articles
In the course of my research I received a letter from the Dutch Department of the Interior confirming that the person registered under the name of Andreas Cornelius van Kuijk was a Dutch citizen from his birth until the day he passed away. So Parker lived in America as a Dutchman. Legally. Colonel Tom Parker and Elvis Presley.
