You have to be ready spend a minimum of $180-200 for a color laser printer with wifi but at that price you won't get a scanner. You'd have to spend about $300 minimum for one with a scanner. Brother HL-L3220CDW is a solid printer imo, but if you are worried, I’d recommend also checking out Canon imageCLASS LBP632Cdw .  This is also a single function, and in the similar price category. First off, just know that printing is an expensive game, period. And all the OEMs are colluding in locking down their consumables as much as possible. This included Brother and Canon alongside HP. It's just an inevitability of the game. That being understood, that Brother you mention is probably as good a choice as any, especially since you don't need perfect color accuracy -- if you did, your choice should be something Canon-based, either HP or Canon itself. With Brother, though, third party toner compatibility seems to be more feasible and you'll get a box that will run you at least 50-75K impressions before you'd have to think about replacing the box.
