Hello everyone! I’m a 19 y.o. college student, and I made this app out of frustration with design decision fatigue. Built with Nuxt and Nuxt UI, of course. Every time I started a project, I’d get stuck choosing colors, fonts, and the overall style — scrolling through inspiration sites, picking palettes, adjusting colors, and selecting fonts on Google Fonts without knowing if they’d actually match my project. I used to lose so much time that I decided to build StartUI, so I’d have everything in one place and could actually start working on my project instead of second-guessing my design decisions. I ended up spending 30× more time building this app than I would have spent searching for designs in my lifetime :), but hopefully, it will help you guys too! The main features I’ve implemented so far are: Color palette generator Tailwind-like shades generator (matches the TW 4-color scale to create nice and consistent shades) Font pairings – random and handpicked from the entire Google Fonts library Real-time preview of the design Export to Tailwind, CSS, SCSS APCA compliance checker FastForward – describe your app or website and it will try to find relevant colors and font pairings based on the description.
