Road trips for Colorado DMV appointments
Is the DMV *actually* appointment only?
DMV has no appointments until 9/18, what do I do for the rules requiring License within 30 days and expired registration?
How long did it take at the DMV to get your license?
Heya Denver Reddit,
I'm a reporter at The Denver Post and got a tip from someone who had to drive three hours for a DMV appointment because all the Denver metro offices were booking at least a month out. If you've had to drive long distances for DMV appointments and are open to being interviewed, send me a DM. Thanks!
ETA: Thanks for all the responses! I’ll try to follow up with as many of you as I can. You can also send further insights/insults by email to klangford (at) denver post . com. Have a great weekend, Denver!
Is that serious? I've lived in some places that say that and you can just walk in still. It's expensive to uber there but I need to make like three different appointments. One to get my permit, one to get my license, and one to get my car registered. I got rear ended a few months ago without insurance, and I didn't know my Florida license was expired because I got a Colorado State ID.
I have court in a few weeks, and appointments are booked out for month. If I can get all these things done, they'll drop the charges. If not, I get my license revoked for two years.
Can I just walk into the DMV and wait a millenia and get this stuff done? If not, what are my options? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
Hi! I am moving to Colorado on the 15th so I am currently setting up the appointments for a new license and vehicle registration. The earliest appointment at all the DMV's are September 18th at the earliest but it states that I need to get a license within 30 days? My move-in date is technically the 1st of August. Is there someone I contact about this, will I get in trouble or charged late fees even though I can't set it up within 30 days? Will i get taken to jail if I am driving before the new license or registration?
Also my vehicle registration from Oregon expires in August on the 17th so I need to get a license and register the car but will I not be able to until after September 18th? I can't afford to not drive my car to get to work for over a month - month and a half so I don't know what to do in regards to this situation.
If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it, thank you!
