I've gained some weight so I've been buying all new jeans from scratch. I've been buying wider jeans but they all look weird with my combat boots, which are a staple of my fall/winter wardrobe. What jeans are we wearing with combat boots in 2025? Slim/straight ones rolled? I'm 5'1" with short legs, if that matters.
ETA: I'm very small, so I think part of the problem is that even "straight" jeans hang kind of wide on me. I guess I have to look for jeans that really look straight and hang close to the leg on me. In the era of very stretchy skinny jeans, this wasn't something I had to consider.

Okay I know I sound stupid but,
for some reason i feel like my combat boots look weird with my mum jeans? like my jeans have a bit of a looser fit and they just kind hide my combat boots almost? I tried to roll up the jeans so you can see the boots but it just looks frumpy? does anyone know what I mean? I feel like combat boots nice with tighter clothes but I don't wear tight clothes.

If you take some rubber bands and put them round the top of your boots then tuck the bottom of the pants up under the rubber band it should look okay. It’s similar to how the military wears their pants and I always thought it looked good.
