How often can plans change on Google Fi?
Google tends to keep the same plans for a long time. That said it last majorly overhauled its offerings in April of 2025.
Are Google Fi phones unlocked?
Yes, all phones purchased for Fi Wireless are sold in unlocked form and can be taken to any other carrier you wish.
Does Google Fi work with iPhone?
It does. While Google Fi doesn’t currently offer any iPhones for sale, you can bring almost any (reasonably recent) unlocked iPhone to the network.
I keep getting targeted by ads for Mint Mobile on here, and I took the bait today to see what they offer. Their pricing is way better than Fi - $30/mo for unlimited data. What am I missing? Can someone tell me what the comparison between Fi and Mint looks like?
Hello!
I am considering switching from T-Mobile to the Google Fi Unlimited Essentials plan. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and a Pixel Watch 3 (non-LTE unfortunately).
How does Google Fi service compare to others? Is it a good service for the price? Any obvious pros or cons I should consider?
Thanks!
PS: I might try to get my mom to join me if I switch, so it could be a 2 person plan.
Hi everyone,
As we continue to evolve and improve Google Fi Wireless, we're excited to share some updates with you!
More value for the whole family. For the price that most people pay for a single line on most carriers, our Simply Unlimited plan is only $80/month for two to four lines, with unlimited data, calls, and texts within the US, Canada and Mexico, plus 5 GB of hotspot tethering. Starting today, the plan will also include full connectivity for compatible smartwatches at no extra cost (it counts towards your data usage). For all plans, you can now get a phone on us after 24 monthly bill credits with every new line you add to your plan.
A risk-free way to try it out before switching. Anyone with an eSIM compatible phone interested in trying out Google Fi Wireless can now sign up for our 7 day free trial.[1] The trial works right on your phone alongside your current service, and you’ll get unlimited data, calls, and texts in the US, hotspot tethering, spam call blocking and VPN to encrypt your online activity for private online connections.[2][3]
A new family-centric experience. Starting today and rolling out over the coming weeks, we’re sharing a refreshed family-centric design of our app, making it easier to manage your family’s digital safety settings, such as ensuring your child can only be called or texted by trusted numbers, and gives you the ability to add new members, discover helpful features and more, all in one place.[4]
Whichever plan you choose, Google Fi Wireless can deliver a great experience for families who want to stay connected.

Disclaimers:
[1] The trial auto-renews after seven days, and can be canceled anytime.
[2] Blocks spam known to Google; may not detect all spam calls.
[3] Restrictions apply. Some data is not transmitted through VPN. Use of VPN may increase data costs depending on your plan.
[4] Contact controls available only on Android phones.
What alternatives to Google Fi are people looking at? To my knowledge there was no other network that offered network switching for those that still need it.
