I have been searching grocery and personal care prices item by item to compare Kroger to Meijer (this are my only real options). Has anyone found a quicker way they would be willing to share? I could go to Aldi as well. I have looked at some apps to download but most seem pretty sketchy about info gathering or what they actually do. Having to keep typing to meet the 300 character limit so please pardon the run on sentence.

Is there anywhere I can look to compare prices for groceries? Or am I stuck driving and circling around to all the stores near me to find the best prices?

Frankly, I don’t even know how grocery store pricing works.

Do prices fluctuate week to week? Month or month? Day to day?

Are there any free apps that will let me make a grocery list and then tell me the price of the item at local/nearby stores?

I know some stores have their own standalone apps, but I don't want to download 5 different apps and constantly switch between them just to compare prices. I was hoping there is one app where I can track all prices for all stores in my area.

I used to manually keep track of where I can find the best price per unit for an item on an Excel sheet, but I wanted to know if there's an app/program that automatically tracks which grocery store has the best price for an item if I scan my receipt? Or something along those lines. It's been tedious for me to compare prices and update my own guide, so I haven't been keeping up with it. I've been considering switching from primarily shopping from Sprouts to Trader Joe's, but I believe the decision would be easier to make if I had a sort of price comparison app.

10 years ago when I was couponing there were all these great websites that would let me search the deals for every store around my area, but they don’t seem to be working any more. I just want to be able to type in something like “diced tomatoes” and find out if they are on sale anywhere.

Title of post says it all. But with rising grocery costs I'm looking for a simple way to compare the prices of stores in my area either to find a better place to shop or potentially split the trip between places if the savings is enough to justify the extra time and gas.

Does anyone know of something like an app or website that allows you to see the price of a certain thing at various stores? Flipp is good to find sales, but I'd like to compare regular priced items too. Anyone have ideas on the easiest way to do this?

I live near major grocery stores and the price of even simple items like berries vary 4X in a single week! Any good website/apps that can track major grocery stores and show me prices in almost real time.
It would be even better if I can add trackers which notify me when a certain item hits a certain price.
I have tried a few apps from Google Play, some provides offers, some provides coupons but none track prices.

Recently I launched an app called My Cart! to help users compare grocery prices from different stores (currently Walmart, Aldi, Kroger, and HEB). The app also offers a bunch of recipes with their total costs compared among the same stores and lets you refine which ingredients you need.

While the app is out on both app stores, it is still a work in progress and I would love to know if this is something that people would be interested in using or if it would be beneficial. The grocery aspect is still being refined and it may not be an exhaustive list of anything you would need but I am working to update the list of items and stores available!

Has anyone come across and application that compares ALL grocery prices and not just the deal circulars? I already use Flipp for comparing circulars but the vast majority of my staple grocery list never shows up on a local circular. With prices and availability becoming less stable I am finding it necessary to check all the stores that carry grocery items to see who has what at the best price at the time I need a particular staple item restocked. This is taking more time than I have and I really need something more streamlined.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of good apps for basically keeping a database of grocery prices by unit to be able to easily see if an item or sale is a good deal or not.

Right now I use Price Cruncher and it is fairly close to perfect, but there are a couple things it's missing - barcode scanning would be nice, as well as the ability to make an account or something so that the database is accessible and current across devices. The history function is also not super user friendly and I wish you could choose which entry of an item to use as the default to crunch new entries against (for example, maybe an item went on a once in a lifetime sale and you don't want to always see that a good deal is 75% more expensive than the lowest price you've paid).

This is something I'd be willing to pay a few bucks for because I use it constantly and it's saved me so much money!! I'm surprised that there don't seem to be more options. Is this not something other people find interesting/useful?

I have a few main sources for groceries; Stop & Shop, Trader Joes, Aldi, and Fairway Market.

For the life of me, I cannot find any online circulars for them that would allow me to compare the cost of milk/eggs/bread etc...

... nor can I seem to figure out how to get a paper circular for anywhere but stop & shop.

Is there any good way to browse those costs without literally going to each store on a weekly basis and making a note of the prices?

Am I just an idiot and missing something?

Having launched (we have yet to post to Product Hunt or Indie Hackers), I am wondering if the price point is at the right spot. The app costs $4.99/Mo (Now $2.99) to use and looking at our install and conversion metrics, this seems to be a huge wall for most new users who download the app. When you first open the app, it walks you through the entire app and lays out the benefits of costs and time savings before it prompts you to sign up. I was hoping to get some feedback on the app and the price point and see what other people thought the app was worth a month.

Hey guys, prices are absolutely ridiculous now. Spent $8 on a carton of eggs (holy shit) and I've been cutting back a ton.

Is anyone aware of some good apps to compare prices and even get cashback?

Also, is there an app where I can take to my grocery store where they scan it and it automatically gives a discount (coupons, cashback) if there is any product in my basket that's eligible?

I appreciate the help.
