I'm wondering if there's any way to make a "clickable" link to my certification.
I tried something like https://www.certmetrics.com/comptia/public/verification.aspx?txtVerificationCode=ABCDEF0123456789, but that didn't pre-fill the verification code.
Does CompTIA offer any easy-to-click function to verify a certificate is up to date?
EDIT: bah. the solution was even simpler than I thought.
It turns out that this works: https://www.certmetrics.com/comptia/public/verification.aspx?code=ABCDEF0123456789
Hi,
Yesterday I purchased the Security+ CE Certmaster to renew my certification that's expiring a little later this year. Made about 2/5 into it and wanted to resume where I left off.
Only thing is, my password no longer works and the password reset doesn't send to my email. Unsure if there's maintenance or something wrong with my account all of a sudden and I would have to call someone to get it fixed? Was wondering if it's happening to anyone else?
EDIT: Nevermind, I got in a different way. login.comptia.org from my confirmation email, then rerouted to my learning.
Strange issue.
I got my 50+ CEUs and went to pay my fees and upload the CEUs but the CompTIA website has changed and my login info wasn't working. Created a new login and can't access anything now. Anyone have this issue?
So this is the obligatory "I just passed Security+" post. 791, so some room for improvement, but a pass is a pass.
But how long did it take for your certifications to appear on CompTIA's certmetrics.com website? I can see my score report on PearsonVUE, but not on certmetrics. I was thinking it would show up fairly quickly, but it's been an hour and all I see is " Your certification status will be shown after taking and passing required exam(s)". Am I freaking out unnecessarily?
Also, if any of you are old school book learners (no offense to a certain "Professor" this sub is enamored with, he's awesome and his videos definitely helped), let me just say that the Ian Neil CompTIA Security+: SY0-601 Certification Guide was decidedly meh and needs a thorough updating (there's a five-page practical exercise walking you through Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer, which doesn't even support Win10 and hasn't even been available for download since some time in the last decade), while I did find James Michael Stewart's CompTIA Security+ Review Guide pretty useful.
