Internship is possible but very hard to get. Try freelancing. Either the serious freelancing (like going to a freelance platform and finding companies), or a more realistic form of freelancing for someone from highschool (finding individuals who want a personalized app). I tried the second form in highschool and found a guy on Reddit who wanted an app. I made a hundred dollars and put it on my resume.
Also build your portfolio. Attach a link to your github and a link to your portfolio to your resume. You can also write about the more impressive projects directly in your resume.
