Internships for high school students
What can I do as a high schooler?

I’m a computer science student who just transferred from a community college, I have very little coding experience but I’m in my junior year, how do I get internships?
Hello, developers👋 Is it possible to find a 2-3 month internship in CS field for 17 y.o. international students? If yes, where I can seek for such opportunities?
Hi all, I'm a junior in high school, and I've been looking for CS internships, or any respectable organization that needs some development work done(example: a non profit or something)
Problem: No one wants a high schooler, even if its unpaid, and every single opportunity I've seen is looking for college students, or is for coding lessons(I already know how to code quite well, and I learn better by doing stuff myself anyways).
I don't want to seem egotistical, but I know many languages, such as JS, Java, Python, SQL, and HTML/CSS, although with varying levels of proficiency lol. I don't have much in my portfolio, but how I am supposed to get experience if no one wants me to do anything?
Anyways, question is, what do I do? There are students in my school who have secured internships/jobs, but whenever I ask them how all they've told me was something like "Someone I know knows a guy"(I do not know any guys). I'm aware I have a head start of some other CS prospects, as I've been coding since the 6th grade, but it doesn't matter if I have no way to actually apply this knowledge. Are there any opportunities for high schoolers out there?
I've also heard people telling me to not worry about that stuff and that it's too early, but idk. Like I said above, I want to use this early experience/knowledge to my advantage, and my dream school is MIT, where you have to be that person who does everything to impress them. My high school sends a decent amount each year(10 I think?) so I think I might have a chance too(realistically not lol).
please help thanks... I don't have too many people in my life to ask about this stuff
I'm a sophomore in high school currently (sorry if this is the wrong place to post) right now and need some summer extra-curriculars. Also note that my question is focused more towards high school internships but any general internship advice would be great.
I wanted to do an internship, and I applied to one computer science internship that a big company near me hosted for high school robotics students that a teacher had recommended that i do. I spent hours on my essays, included awards and relevant details that I at least thought would be somewhat impressive, and thought I had a good chance at it, but got rejected from it.
How many internship applications did it take y'all to get accepted for one? I'm learning now that most programs are loaded with applications, so how can I stand out? Also since a lot of internship applications have already passed their deadlines (sorry for making this a loaded question lol), what types of things could I do over the summer; like, would a programming passion project count on college apps similarly to an internship.
TLDR: how do i get a high school internship in this oversaturated market (or at least do something productive)
